Contract Period
up to 3 years, renewable to 5 years
Days off
14 consecutive days every two months with tickets provided to your nominated Base Residence. Base Residence can be nominate anywhere on the Airlines network (commonly people nominate the Airport closest to their home). Pilots are responsible for the cost of getting to and from their home and the Base Residence Airport.
Flying hours
150 per two month period.Overtime payable at 1/150th of the bi-monthly fee per hour thereafter.
Accommodation
5 star hotel accommodation (and breakfast) is provided in all locations except your nominated Base Residence. Ground transport is provided to and from hotel accommodation.
Travel
Pilots are entitled to Business class tickets at commencement of contract for positioning. After 3 months pilots are entitled to normal staff travel benefits, in addition pilots receive 2 free ID100 tickets per annum and 2 ID90 tickets per annum which can be used in accordance with the Airline's staff travel policy.
Medical Insurance
Expatriate medical and repatriation insurance is provided.
Tax
Pilots are responsible for all their own tax arrangements however they are not required to pay any local income tax . As always it is prudent that individuals seek appropriate professional advice on this matter as they may still have their own national tax responsibilities.
Maximum age
63 years at commencement of contract.
Simulator training
There will be approximately 10 days training at the Airline's training facilities on commencement of the contract this will be on full pay and with all contractual benefits including: accommodation, medical insurance, ground transport, etc.
Destinations
European, North American and national.
Monthly payment
  • Type Rating Examiners = 10,300 US $ per month
  • Type Rating Instructors = 10,000 US $ per month
  • Check Captains = 9,000 US $ per month
  • Line Captains = 8,500 US $ per month
In addition there is a bonus scheme available after the completion of each years service they are payable in accordance with the Airline's policy and are as follows:
  • Completion of 1st year of contract: 12,000 US $.
  • Completion of 2nd year of contract: 13,000 US $.
  • Upon completion of third year of assignment: 15,000 US $.
Aircraft Currency
Pilots must have flown on type within the last 12 months and have 500 PIC hours on type or 100 PIC hours on type and at least 1,000 PIC hours total. Pilots that have exceeded the 90 days aircraft currency on commencement of contract will need to complete recurrent training arranged by the Airline however at the pilots own expense and consequently will not be entitled to the terms of contract until this has been completed (typically 7-10 days). Non national pilots operating for the airline are issued with a validation on their national license. Accordingly pilots are required to keep national licenses current throughout the full period of contract.
